Tap Bio Has Shut Down: Where to Move Your Page (2026)

The tap.bio link in your Instagram bio, on your business card or under your videos now leads nowhere. Tap Bio shut down on October 31, 2026, and the profiles went with it.

This post covers what happened, what is gone, what you can still save, and where to rebuild your page.

What happened to Tap Bio, and when did it close?

Tap Bio announced in spring 2026 that it was winding down, with service until October 31, 2026. New signups were restricted right after the announcement, and Tap Bio gave no reason for closing.

Since October 31, tap.bio shows a closure notice: "Tap Bio has shut down", and Tap Bio and all Tap Bio profiles are no longer available. The notice points users to Link in Profile, which it calls "our other project".

If this feels familiar, Bento.me closed in February the same way, with its data deleted too.

What can you still save now?

Your Tap Bio page is gone, but most of what it pointed to is not:

  • Your links still work: your shop, your videos and your articles live at their own addresses. Only the page that listed them is gone.

  • Your Instagram posts are still on Instagram, with their images and captions.

  • Your email subscribers: if your Mailing list card sent signups to Mailchimp, the subscribers are still in your Mailchimp account.

  • Copies you already have: screenshots of your page, old captions that listed your links, and emails or newsletters where you shared them.

  • Import tools won't help anymore: tools like ManyLinks' importer read a public Tap Bio page, so they only worked while that page was online.

Which Tap Bio cards need a replacement, and which don't?

Tap Bio pages were built from swipeable cards, each with its own job. Here's what each one becomes:

  • Profile and Simple cards: recreate what they said at the top of your new page.

  • Links card: a list of links. Every tool on this page covers it.

  • Image gallery card: you need a tool with a real gallery, not just buttons.

  • YouTube card: a link to your channel or to a video.

  • Twitter card: a link to your profile is usually enough.

  • Mailing list card: this one matters most. Your subscribers are in Mailchimp; what you need now is a signup on your new page.

  • Instagram Links card: if your page showed Instagram posts with links, that's the format Link in Profile offers.

Where should you move your Tap Bio page?

Before picking a tool, one lesson from this shutdown: your tap.bio link died with the service. A custom domain, your own address for your page, means the link you print and share doesn't depend on any one tool. Paage, Milkshake and ManyLinks all offer one.

Notes on the table:

  • Link in Profile shows your Instagram posts that carry links, as a list or a grid. Tap Bio says it's "very similar to the Tap Bio Instagram Links Card", with no cards or page types. It has a free trial rather than a free plan, and your page stays on linkinprofile.com, with no email capture of its own.

  • Milkshake builds pages from cards (Splash, About, Links, Contact, Top Picks, Sell), the closest format to Tap Bio's, but none of them is a gallery, a signup form or a booking card. Its custom domain needs the Pro+ plan; lower plans use a msha.ke link.

  • ManyLinks is a grid of resizable blocks. For email it links to your Mailchimp signup page; its custom domain is on Pro.

  • Linktree has a free plan; Grid and Carousel layouts and selling with 0% fees come with paid plans. Its email and SMS signup links (Pro) send contacts to Mailchimp or Google Sheets. Your page stays on a linktr.ee address: there's no custom domain.

  • A cross means the feature isn't built in.

Paage has a tick on every row: a gallery, a signup that saves contacts, selling and booking on one page, used by 200,000+ creators. Your subscribers then live in a contact list you own, which builds itself from every signup, sale and booking.

Rebuild your Tap Bio page on Paage

There's no automatic import: you rebuild your page by hand, from the links and images you saved.

  1. Create your Paage and add your link-in-bio links: shop, videos, socials.

  2. Replace the Image gallery card with a Gallery page: photos, videos and GIFs in a grid, from your library, an upload, Unsplash or Giphy. You set the columns, gap and tile ratio, and a tap opens the image full screen or follows a link. You can share it as its own link or as a block on your main page. More in create a portfolio.

  3. Replace the Mailing list card with a signup form: new subscribers are saved as contacts, and you can send them newsletters and automated emails.

  4. Add products or bookings if you want them: digital products and physical products, or appointments.

  5. Update the link everywhere you shared tap.bio: your Instagram bio, business cards, video descriptions and email signature.

Which one should you pick?

  • You want your links, a gallery, a signup that saves your contacts, and selling or booking on one page: Paage. It's free to start, with 9% on the Free plan (minimum $0.50 per transaction), 3% on Plus and 1% on Pro, card processing on top.

  • Your page was mostly Instagram posts with links: Link in Profile, Tap Bio's own recommendation. It has one paid plan at $9.99/month, and Tap Bio's closing page offers 50% off.

  • You want swipeable cards like Tap Bio's: Milkshake.

  • You want a grid of blocks: ManyLinks.

  • You only need a list of links: Linktree. See also our free Linktree alternative, or compare more tools in our guide to the best link-in-bio platforms.
