Commerce | Sell Directly From Printful
Can You Sell Directly on Printful? (2026 Guide)

You've designed a t-shirt, a tote bag or a tour hoodie, and Printful can print it. So can I sell directly from Printful, without building a store? Yes, through Printful Quick Stores, but only if you live in the US and sell to US customers. Everywhere else, Printful is a supplier you connect to the place where you sell.
This guide covers what Quick Stores can and can't do, where else to sell Printful products, and what you actually keep on a $30 t-shirt with each option, including the case where Etsy takes less than Paage. If you sell merch to fans who find you on social media, it also shows how to sell merch and art prints from your bio with Paage.
Can you sell directly on Printful? The short answer
Yes, with Printful Quick Stores, if you're a US-based seller shipping to US customers. Quick Stores is available only to merchants residing in the United States, with a valid US tax residence. Customers need a US shipping address, and you need a Stripe account to receive payouts (Printful).
If you're outside the US, or you want to sell to fans abroad, Printful works as a supplier instead. Outside Quick Stores, Printful says you need an online store connected to Printful to sell its products (Printful). That store can be Etsy, Shopify, or your own page on Paage.
What Printful Quick Stores can and can't do
Quick Stores is cheap to start. There's no monthly fee, no setup cost, and you don't need a billing method to begin. You pay only when a customer orders: Printful keeps the product's base cost and fulfillment charges, and pays out your profit monthly once it exceeds $25 (Printful).
| What Quick Stores does | What it doesn't do |
|---|---|
| No monthly fee and no setup cost | Accept sellers outside the US |
| No billing method needed to start | Ship to addresses outside the US |
| Pays your profit out monthly above $25 | Pay you without a Stripe account |
Whichever way you sell, Printful's own basic plan is free. Its optional Growth membership costs $24.99 a month after a 14-day free trial, takes up to 30% off products, and becomes free for a year once you pass $12K in yearly sales. Catalog prices don't include shipping (Printful).
Where else to sell Printful products: Etsy, Shopify or your bio
Outside Quick Stores, the real choice is between paying per sale and paying per month, and between selling on a marketplace and selling from your own page. Here's what each option charges, with card processing left out so the numbers compare like-for-like:
| Option | What you pay | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Printful Quick Stores | Printful's base cost and fulfillment on each order; no monthly fee | US sellers and US customers only |
| Etsy | $0.20 listing fee per item, plus 6.5% of the displayed price and shipping | 15% Offsite Ads fee on orders attributed to Etsy's ads (12% above $10,000 in yearly sales); payment processing varies by country |
| Shopify Basic | $39 a month billed monthly, or $29 a month billed yearly | No transaction fee with Shopify Payments (card rate 2.9% + 30¢ online); 2% if you use another payment provider |
| Paage Free | No monthly subscription; 9% platform fee per sale | Printful and Printiverse built in; every buyer becomes your contact |
Etsy is a marketplace: your products sit among other sellers', and orders that come from Etsy's own ads carry its Offsite Ads fee. Shopify is a standalone store you pay for every month, whatever you sell. Paage is the page your fans already reach from your bio, with Printful connected and your buyers saved to your own audience.
What you actually keep on a $30 t-shirt
Example: you sell a t-shirt for $30 on Paage's Pro plan, which costs $29 a month, or $21 a month billed yearly, and takes a 1% platform fee per sale. Printful's base price for a t-shirt is about $11.50, and the buyer pays shipping. Card processing is excluded on every platform.
| Platform | Fees on one sale | Left after Printful's base price, before processing |
|---|---|---|
| Paage Pro | 1% × $30 = $0.30, plus a $29 monthly subscription | $30 − $11.50 − $0.30 = about $18.20 |
| Etsy | $0.20 + 6.5% × $30 ($1.95) = $2.15 | $30 − $11.50 − $2.15 = about $16.35, before any 15% Offsite Ads fee on attributed orders |
| Shopify Basic | No per-sale platform fee with Shopify Payments, but $39 a month | Depends on how much you sell each month (see below) |
Per t-shirt, Pro leaves you $1.85 more than Etsy ($2.15 − $0.30), but its subscription has to be covered first: $29 ÷ $1.85 = about 15.7, so from 16 t-shirts a month, Paage Pro leaves you more than Etsy. Billed yearly ($21 a month), that drops to 12 t-shirts. Below that, Etsy costs less. On top of the margin, every sale on Paage adds a contact you own and can email about your next drop.
Selling fewer than that? Start on Paage's Free plan instead: no subscription, and a 9% platform fee ($2.70 on this t-shirt). Pro costs less than Free once you sell more than about $362.50 a month ($29 ÷ 8%, the difference between the two fees).
Shopify works the other way round: a fixed monthly fee instead of a per-sale fee. Comparing Shopify Basic with Paage Pro, both billed monthly and processing excluded, the breakeven is ($39 − $29) ÷ 1% = $1,000 a month in sales. Below that, Paage Pro costs less; above it, Shopify Basic costs less. Billed yearly on both ($29 against $21), the line moves to ($29 − $21) ÷ 1% = $800 a month.
Selling Printful merch from your bio with Paage
With Paage, you connect Printful to the same page that holds your link-in-bio and your checkout, and sell your merch there. Setting it up takes three steps (Paage help center):
- In Paage, go to Integration, then Printful, then Activate.
- Log in to Printful or create an account, approve the permissions, and choose Create a new Printful store.
- Create your products in Printful. They appear as drafts in Paage's Products tab, and any edit or deletion syncs both ways.
From there, Paage handles the rest of the loop (Paage):
- You price with the real cost in front of you. Paage shows Printful's cost as you set your price, so you know your margin before you publish.
- Printful does the fulfillment. Every order goes to Printful, which prints, packs and ships it. You follow each order as confirmed, in production and shipped.
- Every buyer becomes a contact. Each buyer is saved to your audience with what they bought.
You can sell t-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, tote bags, hats, beanies, phone cases, stickers, mugs and candles through Printful, next to everything else you sell from one page. For a musician, that means tour merch on the same page fans already reach from your bio.
Keeping your buyers matters more than it looks. In Paage's data, adopting an email list is the number-one signal among creators who become paying Paage users, with a 7.5× lift. It describes how creators use Paage, not what they earn, but the habit behind it is the point: a buyer you can email is a buyer who hears about your next drop.
Paage is free to start: you can start on the Free plan, with no monthly subscription and a 9% platform fee on sales, card processing on top.
Printiverse: fine-art prints alongside your merch
If you're a visual artist rather than a band, your best product may be your art itself. Printiverse is Paage's own built-in print fulfillment: gallery-quality fine-art prints and framing, shipped worldwide with a certificate of authenticity (Paage).
It sits next to Printful inside Paage, so a t-shirt and a framed print can sell from the same page, something a Printful-only store can't offer. Gelato is listed as coming soon.
Which option fits you
- You're in the US and want to test one design: Printful Quick Stores. Nothing to pay until a customer orders.
- You want to sell on a marketplace: Etsy. It leaves you more than Paage Pro below about 16 t-shirts a month in our example, in exchange for selling among other shops.
- You want a standalone store and sell a lot: Shopify Basic. Its monthly fee only costs less than Paage Pro once you pass about $1,000 in monthly sales.
- You sell to fans from social media and want an email list: Paage. Printful and Printiverse run on the page in your bio, and every buyer becomes your contact.
