Is Calendly Free? What the Free Plan Includes (2026)

Is Calendly free? Yes. But most guides that answer the question stop at the list of what the free plan includes. This one goes a step further, to the day you charge for a session, because Calendly's free plan can't take payments.

So we do the math a coach or a beauty pro actually needs: what "free" costs once you charge, the exact amount where Calendly's paid plan becomes the cheaper option, and the free tools that can take payments, with their real limits. Paage is one of them, and we'll say where it isn't the cheapest.

Prices were checked on October 19, 2026.

Is Calendly free? The short answer

Yes. Calendly has a free plan with no time limit: it's "always free". It covers one event type, one connected calendar and unlimited one-on-one meetings.

The catch: it can't take payments. If your sessions are free, that's fine. If you charge for them, "free" ends at your first paid booking.

What Calendly's free plan includes

According to Calendly's own guide to its free plan, you get:

  • One active event type at a time, with unlimited meetings booked through it.

  • One connected calendar.

  • A customizable booking page.

  • Video conferencing links: Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams.

  • Embedding: put your booking page on your own website.

  • A browser extension and a mobile app.

  • Unlimited meeting polls.

For a single type of free meeting, like a discovery call, that's enough.

What the free plan leaves out

Calendly's pricing page lists what you only get on a paid plan:

  • Payments: connecting Stripe or PayPal to charge at booking.

  • Automated reminders.

  • More event types and calendars: unlimited event types, and up to six calendars.

  • Team scheduling, such as round robin.

  • Routing: forms and lead routing.

  • Cancellation policies.

  • Custom branding.

Payments start on the Standard plan.

What upgrading costs: Standard and Teams

Calendly prices its paid plans per seat, per month:

PlanBilled yearlyBilled monthly
Free$0$0
Standard$10 per seat$12 per seat
Teams$16 per seat$20 per seat
EnterpriseFrom $15,000 a year, 50 seats minimum

Sources: yearly prices and Enterprise from Calendly's pricing page. Monthly prices from Zoho and TidyCal, which agree.

If you charge for your sessions, "free" stops at the first payment

Calendly Free can't take money. So a coach who charges for sessions has two real options: pay for Calendly Standard, or use a tool that takes payments without a subscription.

Here's the comparison for that coach: Paage Free, which takes paid bookings with a 9% platform fee and no subscription, against Calendly Standard's flat monthly price. Card processing is excluded on both sides.

Example: where the two cost the same.

  • Calendly Standard billed monthly: $12 ÷ 0.09 = $133.33 of paid bookings a month.

  • Calendly Standard billed yearly: $10 ÷ 0.09 = $111.11 of paid bookings a month.

Below that amount, Paage Free costs less for taking paid bookings. Above it, Calendly Standard costs less. Two coaches, one on each side of the line (session prices are illustrative):

Example 1: a coach sells 2 sessions at $50, so $100 a month.

  • Paage Free: 9% × $100 = $9.

  • Calendly Standard: $12 billed monthly, or $10 billed yearly.

Paage Free costs less here.

Example 2: a coach sells 4 sessions at $60, so $240 a month.

  • Paage Free: 9% × $240 = $21.60.

  • Calendly Standard: still $12, or $10 billed yearly.

Calendly Standard costs less here.

The honest conclusion: if you sell a few sessions a month, a percentage fee is the cheaper way to take payments. Once your paid bookings pass about $111–133 a month, Calendly's flat fee is cheaper for booking alone. Paage's other plans lower the percentage, with a monthly subscription.

Free alternatives that can take payments

If you want to charge for sessions without paying a subscription, three free options can take payments, each with its own limits:

  • Cal.com Free: "free forever", with unlimited event types and calendars. Accepting Stripe and PayPal payments is listed as a free-plan feature. The Cal.com branding stays: removing it is a Teams feature.

  • Google Calendar appointment schedules: you can create one with a personal Google account. But paid bookings are only available with an eligible Google Workspace subscription, and they need a connected Stripe account.

  • Paage Free: paid bookings with a 9% platform fee and no subscription. Paage Appointments, paid bookings included, is available on the Free plan.

A scheduling tool gives you a booking link. Paage Appointments puts the booking on the same page as your link in bio, your products and your email sign-up. One link holds everything you sell.

It works like a service menu, as on Acuity Scheduling: clients choose from several services on one booking page, each with its own duration and price. According to the Paage help center, each service is an event type, and you set:

  • Free or paid: a payment toggle per service, with an optional discount price.

  • Location: online (you choose your video-call software), in person, by phone, or a custom location.

  • Availability: your working hours, or custom availability per service.

  • Buffers: time before and after each session.

  • A booking cap: a maximum number of bookings per service.

  • A booking form: name and email, with optional phone, guests and notes, plus your own questions.

  • Extras: sold alongside a session.

Bookings show up in a Bookings tab, in calendar or list view, and you share the page link in your bio, your emails or your social posts. Payments go through Stripe and/or PayPal, to your own account.

That's Paage's case. It isn't the lowest price for booking alone: above the amounts in the section on charging for sessions, Calendly Standard costs less. The case is the single link, with paid bookings on a plan that has no subscription.

Which one should you use?

  • Your meetings are free and you need one type: Calendly Free is enough.

  • Your meetings are free and you need several types: Cal.com Free.

  • You charge for sessions and sell a few a month: Paage Free or Cal.com Free, with no subscription.

  • You charge for a lot of sessions each month and only need booking: Calendly Standard can cost less than a percentage fee.

  • You also sell products, grow an email list, or want one link for everything: Paage.
